Early New England Home Designs Description

Early New England Home Designs specializes in the design of architectural plans of authentic historic styles that are updated for contemporary lifestyles, as well as eco-friendly and modern building practices. We strive to preserve the timeless character of classic designs as well as the beautiful proportions and detailing of traditional craftsmanship while at the same time tailoring the layouts and functionality of the spaces to appeal and be integrated within the way we live today and in the future.

Many of our designs have been meticulously researched and draw inspiration from case studies of famous houses, museums or National Historic Landmarks, some of which have been measured and documented by us. They include homes such as the Governor Langdon House in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the John Brown House in Providence, Rhode Island. From the modest to the grand, we draw upon the lessons of the past to continue our living heritage and to share its treasures with the individuals and families of today.

Our inspiration and adaptations of these wonderful New England homes are customized to be built today in almost any context, from urban in-fill lots to subdivisions or to secluded rural settings. We provide all the drawings necessary for the construction of the house with the exception of site specific documentation required in conjunction with a local surveyor or civil engineer. We also provide multiple interior and exterior renderings, framing plans as well as a detailed list of materials for most of our deigns.. We are also capable of assisting the clients in material and finishes selection, color and furniture coordination as well as improved curb appeal with exterior landscape design and lighting.
